Warranty Policy

Version 1.0Updated: 04 May 2026

1. Introduction

This Warranty Policy outlines the warranty cover provided by Chameleon Inflatables on our products. Our warranty complements and does not limit your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).

2. Warranty Period

All Chameleon Inflatables products are covered by a 1-year carry-in warranty from the date of delivery or collection.

| Product Type | Warranty Period |

| --- | --- |

| Jumping castles | 12 months |

| Water slides | 12 months |

| Interactive attractions | 12 months |

| Commercial inflatables | 12 months |

| Tarpaulins & ground sheets | 12 months |

| Blowers | Per supplier's warranty (see Section 7) |

The warranty period is the same for personal and commercial use. The warranty applies to the product itself, regardless of how frequently or by whom it is used within its rated capabilities.

3. What Is Covered

The warranty covers manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials that become apparent during normal use within the warranty period, including:

Seam separation not caused by impact or abuse
Defective stitching
Faulty PVC material (bubbling, delamination, premature weakening not caused by external damage)
Zipper failure due to manufacturing fault
Velcro failure due to manufacturing fault
Valve failures not caused by misuse

Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Chameleon Inflatables will repair the defect at no charge to the customer.

4. What Is Not Covered

The warranty does not cover damage, failure, or deterioration caused by:

Use-related

Normal wear and tear
Misuse, accidents, rough handling, or use contrary to our Product Safety & Usage Guidelines
Use beyond the product's stated capacity, weight limits, or age ranges
Puncture damage from sharp objects, stakes driven incorrectly, or debris
Damage from jumping on walls, climbing support columns, or rough play

Environmental

Weather damage including wind (above 25 km/h), storm damage, lightning, hail, or flooding
Sun fading of PVC colours over time (colour fading is normal and not a defect)
Damage caused by use or storage in damp conditions leading to mould or mildew
Damage caused by pests, rodents, or insects during storage

Setup & Operation

Damage caused by inadequate or incorrect anchoring
Damage from setup on unsuitable surfaces (sharp stones, debris, hot surfaces)
Damage caused by power surges, incorrect voltage, or faulty generators

Modifications & Repairs

Damage caused by repairs or modifications carried out by anyone other than Chameleon Inflatables
Use of non-original replacement parts
Addition of custom branding, decals, or modifications applied by third parties

Consumables & Accessories

Items classified as consumables (adhesives, patches, repair kits)
Ropes, pegs, stakes, and anchoring accessories
Carry bags and storage containers

5. Proof of Purchase

To claim under the warranty, the customer must provide one of the following:

Original invoice or order confirmation
Order reference number
Serial number (where the product has one)

We will verify the purchase in our system before accepting the claim.

6. Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim:

1. Contact us within the warranty period via email, phone, or WhatsApp

2. Describe the issue and, where possible, include photos of the defect

3. Provide proof of purchase (invoice, order reference, or serial number)

4. We will confirm whether the issue appears to fall under warranty and advise on next steps

5. Carry in the product to our workshop for inspection (see Section 8 on transport)

6. Once inspected, we will confirm the outcome and carry out any approved warranty repair at no charge

We aim to complete warranty repairs within 10 working days of receiving the product, though complex repairs may take longer. We will keep you informed of progress.

7. Blowers & Third-Party Components

Blowers supplied with our inflatables are manufactured by third parties and covered by the supplier's warranty, not by Chameleon Inflatables.

The supplier's warranty period and terms are provided with the blower
Chameleon Inflatables will handle warranty claims with the supplier on your behalf
Please contact us directly — do not approach the supplier independently
Where a blower is replaced under supplier warranty, we will arrange the replacement for you

Other third-party components (motors, pumps, valves sourced from external suppliers) are handled in the same way.

8. Transport & Carry-In

This is a carry-in warranty. The customer is responsible for transporting the product to and from our workshop for warranty assessment and repair.

Transport costs are not covered by the warranty
Collection and delivery of warranty items can be arranged at the customer's expense (quoted at our standard delivery rates)
Products must be clean and dry when dropped off for warranty assessment

9. Transferability

The warranty is transferable with the product. If you sell, gift, or pass on your inflatable to a new owner during the warranty period:

The remaining warranty period transfers with the product
The new owner must provide the original proof of purchase to claim
No formal registration of the transfer is required
Claims are handled in the same way regardless of who owns the product at the time of claim

10. What Happens if Warranty Is Denied

If we assess your product and determine the damage is not covered by the warranty (e.g. due to misuse, wear and tear, or weather damage), we will:

1. Notify you of the assessment and reason for denial

2. Provide a quote for a paid repair (per our Repair & Service Terms)

3. Await your decision on whether to proceed with the paid repair

4. If you decline the repair, we will return the product to you (transport at your cost)

11. Commercial Use

Commercial operators (event hire companies, daycares, schools, entertainment venues) receive the same warranty as all other customers. Manufacturing defects are covered. However, please note:

Heavier commercial use accelerates normal wear, which is not covered
Commercial operators are encouraged to enrol in a Service Plan for regular inspection and priority repair cover (see our Service Plan Terms)
Commercial operators remain responsible for compliance with all applicable health, safety, and business regulations

12. Your Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA). Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes:

Your right to safe, good-quality goods under Section 55 of the CPA
The implied warranty of quality under Section 56 of the CPA
Your rights in respect of unsafe or defective goods under Section 61 of the CPA
Any other rights afforded to you as a consumer under South African law

Where this Warranty Policy provides greater benefits than the CPA minimum, the benefits of this policy apply.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The warranty that applies to your product is the one in effect on the date of your purchase. Any changes will be posted on our website.
