1. Introduction


These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the services provided by Chameleon Inflatables ("we," "us," or "our"). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


2. Services Offered


We specialize in the manufacturing and sale of high-quality inflatable products. Our services include custom branding, product repairs, delivery options, and limited warranties.


3. Ordering Process


Orders can be placed via phone, WhatsApp, email, or in-person. Your order is considered confirmed once a 70% deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due before collection or delivery.


4. Payment Policy


A 70% deposit is required to secure your order. The final 30% payment must be received before we release the product for collection or delivery. We are not VAT registered.


5. Cancellation, Refund, and Rescheduling Policy


Because our products are manufactured to order, cancellation and refund rules depend on the stage of your order. Rescheduling rules apply throughout.


5.1 Cancellation by the customer — before production starts


If you cancel after paying the deposit but before we have begun cutting, welding, sewing, or any other physical manufacturing work on your order, an administrative fee applies: the greater of 10% of the order value or R500. The balance of your deposit is refunded.


5.2 Cancellation by the customer — after production has started


Once physical manufacturing has begun, your deposit is non-refundable. No cash refund is made; the work already done is deposit-paid.


5.3 Cancellation by the customer — after full payment but before dispatch (standard products)


Where a standard product has been completed and fully paid for, but not yet dispatched or collected, a restocking fee of 15% of the order value applies. The balance is refunded.


5.4 Cancellation by Chameleon Inflatables


If we are unable to fulfil your order for any reason within our control (we cannot manufacture, we withdraw from the order, we discover a resource constraint), you receive a full refund of all payments within 14 business days. No administrative fee applies.


5.5 Rescheduling


You may reschedule delivery or collection.

Rescheduling before we depart for delivery — no fee.
Rescheduling while we are already en route — a re-delivery fee applies (approximately R300 for a separate Gauteng trip; may vary for non-standard areas).
Repeated rescheduling may attract additional fees, notified in advance.

5.6 Refunds to original payment source


All refunds are paid to the same bank account or payment source the payment originated from. We do not refund to a different account. Refund processing is typically within 5 business days.


This section overrides any earlier wording that suggested no refunds are ever possible after a deposit is paid.


6. Warranty Terms


All inflatables come with a 1-year carry-in warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty excludes:


Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or neglect
Transport costs associated with warranty claims

Blowers are covered by the supplier's warranty and not by Chameleon Inflatables. We are not liable for blower damage or replacement.


7. Repairs and Maintenance


We offer repair services. If the damage is due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it at no charge. If the damage is due to wear, misuse, or accidents, the client will be billed for the repair.


8. Delivery and Liability


If we handle delivery, we are responsible for any damages incurred during transport. If a third-party courier is used, we are not liable for damage during transit. Once the product has been delivered or collected, we assume no further responsibility for its condition or use.


9. Usage Guidelines


We provide general usage and safety guidelines with every inflatable. It is the customer's responsibility to follow these guidelines and ensure safe operation.


10. Additional Fees or Charges


Additional charges may apply for delivery/shipping and any custom branding services. These will be quoted in advance.


11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law


These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Gauteng. Clients are encouraged to contact us directly to resolve any issues amicably before seeking legal action.


12. Force Majeure


We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, load shedding, transport disruptions, or supply shortages. In such cases, we reserve the right to reschedule delivery at a mutually agreed time.


13. Changes to Terms and Conditions


We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued engagement with us after updates implies acceptance of the new terms.
