1. Why This Guide Exists
Inflatables are handmade, large, and built from industrial PVC panels welded together. Some things look or feel different on a brand-new castle compared to a factory-sealed consumer product — but are completely normal and not a defect.
This guide helps you tell the difference so you know when to use your product with confidence, when to call us for a quick chat, and when a repair or warranty claim is genuinely needed.
When in doubt, send us a photo or video before acting — we'd rather talk it through than have you sitting with an unused castle on a Saturday morning.
2. Normal — Not a Defect
The following are expected on a healthy, well-made inflatable:
Visual
•Slight seam ripples or ridges where welded panels meet. These are structural, not cosmetic flaws.
•Minor colour variation between panels from the same PVC batch. PVC dye lots vary.
•Light scuffs from setup and packdown, especially on the base and high-traffic areas.
•Print / logo edges with slightly soft edges — heat-transferred prints are meant to flex, not be laser-crisp.
•Small weld-line marks visible inside the inflatable where panels join.
Performance
•5–15 minute initial inflation on a large castle is normal — bigger units have more volume to fill.
•A low continuous hum from the blower while running. Inflatables rely on constant airflow.
•Gentle deflation in one corner or wall when jumpers cluster on one side — the blower compensates.
•Slight flex in walls when multiple jumpers are active. Rigid is unsafe; flex is designed-in.
•A faint PVC smell for the first few uses that fades with airing.
Handling
•Creases after being folded for storage. These disappear after the castle has been inflated for a few minutes.
•Slight dampness after morning use if the castle was packed in dew. Dry it fully before storing.
3. Worth a Message — Might Need Adjustment
These aren't defects on their own, but we'd love to hear from you so we can help troubleshoot or schedule a check-in:
•The castle takes significantly longer than 15 minutes to inflate.
•A zipper is sticking or catching on one side.
•A Velcro strip is not holding firmly.
•The castle sags noticeably in one area when empty.
•You notice a whistle or squeal from a valve.
•A ground sheet or tarp is scuffing faster than expected.
•The product looks visually different from the photos in your order confirmation.
A quick WhatsApp or email with a photo lets us advise — often the fix is a simple tension adjustment or a tip on how you're setting up.
4. Defect — Raise a Warranty or Repair Claim
The following are defects worth formally raising via our Repairs form or by contacting us:
Workmanship
•Seam separation (not caused by impact) within the first 12 months.
•Stitching failure along a structural seam.
•PVC delamination or bubbling not caused by heat, sun damage, or chemical exposure.
•A zipper or Velcro panel failing due to manufacturing fault (not wear).
•A valve failure not caused by misuse or over-inflation.
Material
•A tear appearing without external cause — no impact, no sharp object, no mis-use.
•Weld failure along a joined panel.
Blower or Accessories
•A blower that will not start or that trips the breaker on a correctly-rated circuit.
•Missing or malfunctioning anchor pegs, tie-downs, or safety netting delivered with the product.
These are covered under our Warranty Policy for the 12-month warranty period when used in line with our Product Safety & Usage Guidelines.
5. Before You Raise a Claim
A five-minute sanity check saves everyone time:
•Take a clear photo or short video of the issue, in daylight, showing context.
•Note the serial number on your product's label (tucked into a seam, usually near a valve).
•Note your order reference — it's on your order confirmation email (format: `ORD-XXXXXXXX`).
•Try a quick inflation test if the issue is about performance — sometimes a cold-start morning behaves differently from an afternoon run.
